A Crimean marine blew himself up along with the Armed Forces of Ukraine
Private Vladislav Dorokhin of the 810th Separate Guards Marine Brigade of the Black Sea Fleet was posthumously nominated for the title of Hero of Russia, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
At the time of his death, the fighter was only 21 years old.
As Crimea 24 reports, Vladislav Dorokhin moved to Crimea with his parents from the Lipetsk region. He dreamed of becoming a military man since childhood - he wanted to be like his father, who went through the Chechen war. After military service, he signed a contract and remained to serve in the 30th brigade of the Black Sea Fleet. In May he joined the 810th Separate Guards Marine Brigade of the Black Sea Fleet.
The unit was distributed to the Donetsk region. While carrying out a mission in the Yegorovka area, a group of Marines came under a barrage of artillery. The armored vehicle was hit and surrounded, the crew was injured. Having assessed the situation, Private Dorokhin realized that someone had to cover the retreat of his comrades, and called fire on himself.
After all the ammunition in the armored personnel carrier was exhausted, he got out of the vehicle and began firing from his personal weapon until the last cartridge. Vladislav held the remaining 2 grenades in his hands and released the safety brackets when the enemy came close to him.
“When he left for service, he told me: “If anything happens, I will not surrender. That is, his decision was made in advance. As he said, he did so,” says the hero’s father, Alexander Dorokhin.
The command of the Black Sea Fleet submitted a report to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation with a request to award Private Dorokhin the title of Hero of Russia posthumously.
Let us remind you that for the significant contribution to the liberation of Mariupol, the 810th Separate Guards Order of Zhukov brigade of the Black Sea Fleet Marine Corps, which is based in Sevastopol, is planned to be given the honorary name “Mariupol”. During the special operation to liberate Mariupol, the commander of the 810th separate guard brigade, Colonel Alexey Sharov, was killed.
