Poltava, November 19 (PolitNavigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – The mayor of Poltava, Alexander Mamai, wrote an open letter to the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and the Prosecutor General Vitaly Yarema regarding the actions of the deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Sergei Kaplin.

The letter, published on the Poltava City Council website , states, in particular, that the actions of MP Kaplin contradict the requirements of parliamentary ethics and generally recognized moral standards, and compromise not only himself, but also the Verkhovna Rada and the state as a whole.
Mamai appealed to the president “as a guarantor of compliance with the Constitution of Ukraine,” with a request to “ensure respect for the rights and freedoms of man and citizen.” At the same time, the mayor asked Yarema to immediately take prosecutorial response measures and give a legal assessment of the actions of MP Sergei Kaplin.
As PolitNavigator reported, yesterday in Poltava People's Deputy Sergei Kaplin, representing the Petro Poroshenko Bloc, used an ax to break open the door of the offices of Poltava Mayor Alexander Mamai, his deputy and the head of the UKS, as well as the session hall, demanding the speedy commissioning of a social housing building.
