Coronavirus could leave millions of Russians unemployed – Association of Tour Operators
Today in Russia there is a strong drop in demand for booking tours to Asian and European countries.
Maya Lomidze, executive director of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia, announced this at a press conference in Moscow, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“When we talk about a decrease in demand, this equally affects all areas, including Russia. The consequences that may arise with further inaction of the authorities, the inaction of regulators - these are consequences not only for the industry, this is a serious social story, because the number of employees in these travel companies who may suffer, who may be crushed between these millstones, exceeds 5- 7 million people. These are people who could potentially be left without work,” Lomidze said.
