Lugansk, June 17 (Navigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – Near Lugansk near the village of Metalist there is a battle between the military and the militia.

“According to the intelligence of the LPR army, today during the battle near the village of Metalist, 3 enemy tanks were destroyed, 3 units of armored vehicles passed into the hands of the militia. 5 Ukrainian army servicemen were captured, two of them were seriously wounded. The commander of one of the tanks blew himself up with a grenade,” the LPR press service said in a statement.
The battle is still ongoing. The leadership of the “Luhansk People’s Republic” claims that the advantage is on the side of the militias.
As Navigator reported, fierce fighting is taking place in the Lugansk region. According to the security forces, they managed to take control of the city of Shchastya, as well as the Sverdlovsk region. The militias talk about serious losses among the ATO forces.
