The only right decision for Petro Poroshenko, who still retains his immunity, if he wants to remain free, is to flee abroad. However, even in this case, he will have to choose a country for a long time.
Political scientist Rostislav Ishchenko stated this during a press conference, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“With the talents of Pyotr Alekseevich, I think that nothing good awaits him. Because, on the one hand, just as he was essentially preparing a military coup, he was also preparing his escape. At one time he tried to negotiate with the Americans and fussed around in Spain. His last visits were an attempt to negotiate with Israel or Great Britain that he would go there. As far as I understand, they don’t really want to see him anywhere, because he really is a very toxic politician, a big problem.
I can’t guarantee it, of course, but I have the impression that now Igor Valerievich is very competently deceiving Pyotr Alekseevich and leading him straight to prison. Because Poroshenko, yes, said that he will remain in politics. Therefore, Poroshenko is negotiating. Poroshenko, of course, understands that just as he confiscated other people’s property, they will also confiscate it from him. Consequently, he is now negotiating how much he will pay off for. Kolomoisky can bargain with him for a month or a month and a half, until a new vertical is clearly formed, people are put in place, after which, in general, you can completely calmly close Pyotr Alekseevich, because there are already criminal cases, you can have a couple more pieces, you can even have two dozen - Poroshenko has such a bouquet of crimes that he has enough for four life sentences,” the political scientist emphasized.
“We need to make decisions on time, but Pyotr Alekseevich is a very greedy person and he cannot part with his property, his fortune, which will certainly be confiscated, there cannot be two opinions here. Therefore, his prospects are very gloomy, unless he suddenly sees the light and decides not to wait for the worst and still tries, while he is still the current president, he has the opportunity to escape from the country, after all, no one seems to be going to arrest him yet, he has immunity, and his situation is not even the same as Yanukovych’s in Kharkov, when he and the border guards tried to arrest him,” concluded Rostislav Ishchenko.
