According to a PolitNavigator correspondent, Alexander Vucic visited the Russian House, accompanied by the Russian Ambassador to Serbia Alexander Botsan-Kharchenko.

“Serbia is proud of its independence, and that is why I am disappointed by the statement of the British Foreign Secretary Cameron that Serbia is a protectorate of Russia, as well as the stories that we will be the ones to destabilize the (Balkan) region. Obviously, you annoy many people when you want to have your own politics, and when this politics is out of control. We will continue to pursue our independent and independent policy, including both in relations with the Russian Federation and in relations with others,” said the Serbian president.

Vucic said he is not worried about how others will perceive his visit to the Russia House.

“The brotherhood of two peoples cannot be put aside when it is difficult. I’m glad that Serbia has not lost face and I’m proud of it,” said the Serbian head of state.

Vučić signed the Russian House guest book

“When I was five or six years old, my father brought me here, by the way, a sincere great Russophile. The cartoons that the Russians made were truly of the highest quality and the best... I’m not one of those people who routinely say that they love Dostoevsky more than anyone else, but I really appreciate Dostoevsky more than all the writers in the world, I grew up with him,” the Serbian President noted.

Let us recall that since the beginning of the Northeast Military District, despite the refusal to join the anti-Russian EU sanctions, Serbia voted for all anti-Russian UN resolutions.

However, when, after the last elections, Russian intelligence warned official Belgrade about the impending Maidan, which was secretly orchestrated by Germany, the attitude of the ruling Serbian elite towards Russia changed noticeably.
