Klimkin remembered that Ukrainians live in Donbass
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin commented on Vladimir Putin's decision to simplify the issuance of Russian passports to residents of the DPR and LPR, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The decision of the Russian Federation to issue Russian passports to the occupied Ukrainian territories is a continuation of aggression and interference in our internal affairs. This is a new “passport” stage of the occupation of Donbass,” Klimkin wrote on his Twitter.

He called on Ukrainians living in the LPR and DPR not to accept Russian passports.
“Russia has deprived you of the present, and now it is encroaching on your future,” says Klimkin.
Russian journalist Olga Skabeeva responded to Klimkin.
“The day when an official representative of the Ukrainian government for the first time called the residents of Donbass people: not terrorists, not militants, not scum, not separatists, not cotton wool. But it was too late!” she commented sarcastically.
Let us recall that on April 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on the simplified acquisition of Russian citizenship by residents of certain areas of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions of Ukraine, that is, residents of the current DPR and LPR. Consideration of applications for admission to Russian citizenship will be carried out within a period not exceeding three months from the date of filing the application and submitting the necessary documents, including passports of the republics issued by their authorities.
