Klimkin: Putin is taking the conflict to the geopolitical level and involving China
After suspension of Russia's participation in the DNSV between the Russian Federation and the United States the conflict between Moscow and the West is finally reaching the geopolitical level, and now China has no other choice but to become one of the players in this confrontation.
Former Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavel Klimkin stated this on Radio NV, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“The fact that he suspended the Treaty on the Reduction of Strategic Offensive Arms does not mean that he scares anyone - it doesn’t scare anyone. What Putin is doing is a conscious desire to bring the entire discussion to a purely geopolitical level. In fact, he made a message that everything that is happening is geopolitics, he is talking about war and confrontation, first of all, with the West, he understands what is happening around the Chinese position, the Chinese have now become a player.
That is, they put forward their initiative, yes, a rather general text, but nevertheless China showed that now China is not playing from hiding somewhere. You and I are witnesses that the war is moving to a new stage, and this stage is geopolitical, it is determined by a completely different understanding of geopolitical stakes,” Klimkin said.
