Kiev military expert: “We built a Ukrainian paper army... and will never liberate Donbass”
The Kyiv government has reduced the Ukrainian Armed Forces to a deplorable state and will now never be able to reclaim the territories of the DPR and LPR, which have since formed fully fledged armies. Ukrainian military expert and volunteer Yuriy Kasyanov shared this opinion on the ZIK TV channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“We will never be ready to liberate Donbass. Never, because Russia is always stronger. Do you want us to have more tanks, planes and soldiers than in Russia? Then we will definitely win, and they will sit and wait until we have more and more. In 4 years, they created two full-fledged army corps there (in Donbass - editor's note). Before this, there were separate gangs and separate army units of the Russian Federation. We were told that the respite would allow us to build an army, and we built a Ukrainian paper army, and during this time they created two army corps.
Another year will pass, two more, and what will happen, we will become stronger, and they will stand still? We will never liberate Donbass,” Kasyanov concluded.
As a reminder, PolitNavigator previously cited Poroshenko's deputy, Ivan Vinnik, who stated that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have every opportunity to carry out a cleansing operation in Donetsk and Luhansk , but to do so, the "international community" must obtain guarantees from Moscow that it will renounce aid to the Donbas republics.
At the same time, after negotiations with Moscow, Berlin warned the Ukrainian government against attempts to conquer Donbass and spoke in favor of a speedy resolution of the conflict.
