A Kiev political scientist told how Ukrainian presidents are fed fake printouts of Putin’s telephone conversations
All Ukrainian presidents were protected from negativity and fed information that did not correspond to reality.

This was stated by Ukrainian political scientist Kost Bondarenko, quoted by Strana.
“Kuchma was not informed about negative publications in the media. Yushchenko was fed by security forces with fake printouts of Putin's telephone conversations. Allegedly, our intelligence listened and so on,” Bondarenko said. “Many people even received medals for this.” Yanukovych himself fed his entourage with fakes, sometimes plunging people into complete bewilderment. During a visit to Cuba, he said: they say, I remember how in my youth Beregovoy and I flew to Cuba, to see Castro. And here we are again in Cuba, and Castro meets us in his car.” Or he told how he participated in the rally in Monaco in 1975, although no rally took place in Monaco in 1975. In a word, Yanukovych created an illusory reality for himself.”
“But Poroshenko surpassed everyone. With the current technologies for discrediting any criticism, he may simply lose touch with reality,” the political scientist warns.
