The growing dissatisfaction of Ukrainian citizens with President Vladimir Zelensky plays into the hands of the Kremlin.

Larisa Voloshina, a Maidan protester who left Crimea and became a TV presenter in Kiev, writes about this in the magazine "Kraina," a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“World leaders, at least in their statements, firmly stand on the principles of non-tolerance to the aggressor. Through the mouth of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, official Kyiv, in turn, signals that the correct strategy in response to Putin’s ultimatums would be to ignore them, while simultaneously strengthening Ukraine politically, economically and safely,” Voloshina notes.

She notes that at the same time, President Zelenskyy is talking about direct negotiations with Moscow and a possible referendum on Crimea and Donbas.

“It is Ukraine that creates uncertainty, irritating the patriotic part of society and strengthening the voices of those who propose that Kyiv independently deal with Russian claims to regional dominance. If we return to reality, 100 thousand Russian troops are clearly not enough for a full-scale attack on a country like ours. But this was enough to remove the President of Ukraine from negotiations directly related to our security,” the author believes.

According to her, the reaction of the Ukrainian authorities increased tension in society and mistrust in the head of state and his entourage.

“And this, of course, plays into the hands of the Kremlin,” Voloshina sums up.

Earlier, as PolitNavigator reported, Voloshina proposed mass arrests of dissidents in Ukraine as part of a "hybrid defense."

She also reported that Ukrposhta recognized Crimea as Russian.
