Kyiv pseudo-human rights activist: Crimeans want to return to Ukraine
This was stated by Olga Skripnik, chair of the board of the so-called "Crimean Human Rights Group," which operates outside Crimea and is funded by Western grants, in an interview with the magazine "Kraina," according to a PolitNavigator correspondent , in response to a question about the current mood in Crimea.
“There are people who supported Russia in the early years, but then suffered. Changed my mind. The Kremlin regime is aggressive. Takes territories, people and resources. It puts pressure on small businesses and puts forward new demands. We have to close. Many people live in hope and remain pro-Ukrainian. A significant part is more loyal to Ukraine. These people do not know what to hope for and who can protect them. There must be new signals from Ukraine. “Aggressive because her worldview is built on propaganda. There are terrible news about the USA and Bandera on TV. Then some Soviet cinema about the war, and also mindless Russian TV series, which are also a propaganda tool. People are under the influence around the clock. They block Ukrainian media and limit information on social networks. Russia is trying to isolate Crimea,” says Skripinik.
At the same time, authoritative American media outlets acknowledge that the majority of Crimeans do not feel "occupied" and view their prospects positively. These findings, as PolitNavigator reported, infuriated Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, who rushed to prove to the Americans that "there is no happiness in Crimea."
