Kyiv is trying to fight with Moscow using the “no war, no peace” method
Often making mutually exclusive and paradoxical decisions, the current Kiev government is stalling the situation, trying to maintain the current status quo.
Spiridon Kilinkarov, a member of the Verkhovna Rada of previous convocations from the Communist Party, stated this on the air of the talk show “Meeting Place” on the Russian NTV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
"On the one hand, recognizing a country as an 'aggressor,' while on the other, saying we won't terminate our treaty of friendship , partnership, and cooperation—that doesn't fit my logic. Secondly, when they expel 13 diplomats in the Skripal case, but didn't do so in 2014, when they declared Ukraine was at war with Russia, it's very difficult to understand," the former MP commented on recent events in Ukraine.
“It seems to me that they are now trying to act using Kravchuk’s methods. He once had a favorite phrase: “Walk between the droplets.” Now they are trying to “go between the drops,” but they are not quite succeeding, because even inside Ukraine, they do not understand either strategy or tactics,” Kilinkarov added.
However, according to the politician, this state of affairs is quite satisfactory for the Kyiv authorities.
“The fact that we cannot agree on Donbass, first of all, is only because Ukraine does not have any strategy regarding Donbass. Today there is a desire to record the fact that part of the territory of Ukraine does not take part in the political process. This absolutely suits the Ukrainian authorities, and they are ready to maintain the current status quo of “no war, no peace,” says Spiridon Kilinkarov.
