Kyiv will try to use the winter to prepare for a new offensive
The Ukrainian army will try to switch to trench warfare for the winter in order to accumulate strength and prepare for a new spring offensive.
Military analyst, former Russian special forces colonel Anatoly Matviychuk stated this on the Kosomolskaya Pravda radio, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“The situation at the front suggests that Ukrainian troops are trying to strengthen their positions and move the war into a positional direction.
Why are they doing this? I think, in order to replenish losses in manpower, to replenish ammunition and equipment. And as Zelensky says, in the spring he will again launch a counter-offensive “with decisive goals,” Matviychuk said.
The analyst believes that in these conditions the Russian army will try to achieve some success.
“On our side, I see activity along the entire front, attempts to somehow recapture, seize lines, and move forward. And I think that the winter war will be active for our side.
Because we have decisive goals, a lot of frontiers that we must take, especially we must destroy the hornet’s nest in Avdeevka, then Kramatorsk is next. These are the areas that we must destroy, and I think we will carry out these tasks during the winter,” the colonel concluded.
