Khodakovsky promised to return to Donbass
Residents of Donbass should not forget where the main enemy is and get bogged down in internal squabbles.
Former head of the DPR Security Council, Alexander Khodakovsky, stated this on the YouTube channel of Russian journalist Yuri Kotenok, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
Answering the question of how he perceives the exclusion from elections in the republic, he said that he treats this normally and promised to return to Donbass in the foreseeable future.
“It’s very normal, because I will return to the region in the foreseeable future. The fact that some decision was made to prevent me from participating in the elections - I do not consider this my personal tragedy or the tragedy of Donbass. Because practice has shown: it is not the place that makes the person, but the person who makes the place. If a person is motivated, he will be useful in any position,” noted the creator of the Vostok battalion.
In his opinion, Donbass should not get bogged down in internal squabbles, but needs to maintain its strategic vision and understand where the real enemy is.
“Everything is quite simply built on allegories. I explain: “Guys, you are used to shooting at a visible target. You open fire when you see the target. This is a simple rule, but this is a rule, roughly speaking, for small caliber, for those who cause minimal damage to the enemy. And our task is to be able to shoot with large caliber from closed positions.” That is, we must see a historical perspective. We must see strategically how certain trends will develop.
We must understand what will happen tomorrow. If today we descend to local squabbles and to sorting out relations among ourselves, forgetting for a while that our most important historical task has not been solved, then we will lose. If, while overcoming local difficulties, we maintain our strategic vision and understand that “the enemy is over there, even though we don’t see him,” but these immediate targets do not pose any threat, then we will win strategically,” Khodakovsky concluded .
