Khmara is afraid that Bubenchik’s case will ricochet among the rest of the “heroes of the Maidan”
The initiation of a criminal case against Maidan militant Ivan Bubenchyk, who previously admitted to killing Berkut fighters, could lead to revenge by the former government - “Yanukovych’s people.”
The odious veteran of the nationalist movement, "Hero of Ukraine" Stepan Khmara, stated this on air on the ZIK television channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to him, nationalists should demand the imprisonment of the investigators and prosecutors who initiate criminal cases against their comrades.
“This case categorically should not happen, and a criminal case must be opened, sooner or later this must be done, against those who opened a criminal case against Bubenchik. You understand, at Bubenchik they want to show: “Yeah, you are such heroes? So we’ll twist you into a ram’s horn.” Now the press is already preparing society - maybe he is an agent of Moscow, or maybe he is a liar - it doesn’t matter. This case could not have happened, because the current government should not have the right to initiate a criminal case against a person for such crimes, which he himself admitted.
