Kherson surrendered due to lack of pontoons - expert
The Russian army could not organize support for its group in Kherson due to the lack of pontoon units.
Military expert Maxim Klimov stated this on air at Roy TV, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“Comrade bosses tell us that we had problems with logistics. Have all measures been taken to ensure this logistics? The same transfer of river vehicles that can pull pontoons. Here, an insider recently surfaced that one of the unexpected logistics problems that hit us was the problem with the production of pontoon links. Apparently the investigative authorities are already working. We are having problems making new pontoons. The supplies that the Soviet army had were distributed to anyone. The Ministry of Emergency Situations simply sold them for scrap metal, and there was nothing left. The number of pontoon parks, to put it mildly, left much to be desired,” Klimov said.
At the same time, he believes that, if desired, the problem could be solved in the shortest possible time by transferring barges to Kherson.
