Kedmi: There is a war against Russia
The pro-Western opposition in Belarus has chosen the path of terrorism, as demonstrated by the murder of a Belarusian KGB officer.
This was stated on the air of the Rossiya 1 TV channel by Sergei Karnaukhov, associate professor of the RANEPA department, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“We know how terrorists are recruited, it looks like we saw how some people against the backdrop of white-red-white flags said that they could and should shoot, they removed a person’s barrier. He understands that they will not kill him, that everything can be done, and later you will be amnestied. The terrorist is ready. The terrorist was ready for this, and he did it.
"We saw tensions escalate in Belarus, with all those mercenaries and instructors with extensive combat experience. There was no opposition there. In subsequent events, we saw a special operation carried out with 33 of our private security guards , then an attempt to assassinate Lukashenko. Now we see they've shown that the only way out is terror," Karnaukhov said.
In turn, the ex-head of the Israeli intelligence service Nativ, military expert Yakov Kedmi, emphasized that the terror occurring in Belarus, like in Ukraine, is directed against Russia.
“The war is against Russia. Maidan in Ukraine did not happen against Ukraine; they don’t care about Ukraine. Maidan in Ukraine was against Russia: “We will knock out Ukraine, and Russia will collapse.” Russia did not collapse. “Now we’ll knock out Belarus,” but the main goal is not there. The main target is Russia. These actions are terror, which is no different from the terror of Hamas, they operate differently in our country, but the meaning remains the same,” Kedmi concluded.
As a reminder, Minsk previously announced that the Belarusian KGB had detained the perpetrators of the terrorist attack —the arson attack on the home of Liberal Democratic Party chairman Oleg Gaidukevich. He was attacked with Molotov cocktails in July.
Moreover, the day before, the PACE awarded the Vaclav Havel Prize for Achievements in the Field of Human Rights to White Maidan activist Maria Kolesnikova, who called for the seizure of executive committees.
