Ruins incident: Ukraine fell into its own historical trap
Ukraine once again in its history has become a frontier with an unenviable fate.
Political scientist Ruslan Bortnik stated this on the air of the Politeka internet channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“The balance has been disrupted, and now, due to the fact that the balance has been disrupted, we traditionally - in our history this has already happened a hundred thousand times, a hundred times for sure. We have become a frontier, we have become part of one political system, its extreme outpost. We have become today an outpost of the Western world. Previously, we were an outpost of the eastern world, the west, many times, the border changed, this watershed changed.
And any border, any outpost, any frontier is always characterized by wars and armed conflicts, always characterized by a low standard of living, always characterized by authoritarian and totalitarian forms of government, because otherwise it is impossible to keep the situation under control,” the expert said.
“And we fell into our characteristic historical trap. The President of Ukraine says that “I really don’t like it when we are compared to the era of Ruin.” But it’s not just the Ruin, we lived through many other historical eras in this mode,” Bortnik said.
