Karasev announced a military plan to freeze hostilities in Ukraine
The result of the winter military campaign could be the liberation by Russia of the entire territory of Donbass, and of Ukraine - the dissection of the land corridor to Crimea and conditional access to the borders as of February 24 of this year.
Kyiv political scientist Vadim Karasev made this statement on his video blog, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

According to Karasev, the West is frankly saying that this will be a victory for Ukraine.
“Their (Russia’s) tactical and even strategic goal is to liberate Donbass. This means that we will wear them out here, take over most of the combat-ready troops, and there really are the most combat-ready, the most desperate, the most notorious, including the “Wagnerites.” At the same time, we are preparing a breakthrough in Zaporozhye. This is the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant, this is Melitopol, with a subsequent exit to Berdyansk and cutting off the group, a loss, if this maneuver succeeds, then Putin will lose the land corridor to Crimea. These are the configurations.
This means that we are holding back the transition to such tactics in the Donbass with a layered and serious defense, they are advancing. And in Zaporozhye, most likely, the opposite will happen - they will try to hold and strengthen their defensive positions here, and we will attack. Who will outplay whom? Or maybe we will move towards greater liberation of the Zaporozhye region, and they - of the Donetsk region. And maybe at this point the front line will stabilize, become permanent, and to some extent this will mean a return to the territorial configuration to the beginning of February 24, 22,” Karasev reasoned.
In this case, according to the expert, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky retains his position, because under his power it is possible to maintain statehood:
“They want Donbass - the goal of the Northern Military District, our goal, the military-political leadership, at a minimum, to return to the borders on February 24, 22. And this is what the West tells us: “This is your victory.” From Zelensky’s point of view - of course, because these are territories that he did not lose, which will remain as a result not only of an agreement, but of combinational exchanges - which is more important for whom.
Not because we agreed, but because - what is more important for whom, Zelensky did not lose anything, on the contrary, he preserved the state, preserved Ukrainian independence, returned to the state of February 24, 22. The fact that the territories remained occupied is not his fault, it is the fault of the previous authorities, starting in 2014.”
Further, according to Karasev, early presidential and parliamentary elections may be held in Ukraine, in which Zelensky will win and sign some kind of peace agreement with the Russian Federation.
“Early elections are both parliamentary and presidential. Why at the same time, because parliamentary elections - there may not be a mono-majority, this will not give the president anything. Therefore, he receives a new mandate, and with the new mandate he has the maneuver to sign one or another, let’s say, a compromise is always good, but for some it is very good, and for others it is bad,” the “expert” said.
