“What day of resistance?” – Karasev recalled the Crimean shame of Ukraine
There can be no talk of any “day of resistance to the occupation of Crimea,” since Ukraine gave up the peninsula without firing a single shot, withdrawing its troops with flags from the territory of the peninsula.
Political scientist Vadim Karasev stated this on air on TV channel 112, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

According to Karasev, the Ukrainian authorities once again committed a rash act by deciding to celebrate this day at the official level on February 26.
“Day of Resistance of Crimea - well, it’s clear that there is a problem with Crimea, but what kind of resistance? Did we resist in '14 or not? We left safely, with banners and so on. And the rest remained there. Or you can put it another way – “Day of Solidarity with the Citizens of Crimea”, because they are Crimeans. Because this is solidarity.
Are you going to resist, are you going to be saboteurs? So wait, on the one hand, you want to establish normal relations. Even Zerkal (former Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine) said that a new era of relations with Russia is coming, normalization, we just need to take into account the “red lines”. On the other hand, we say “the day of resistance of Crimea, occupation of Crimea” and so on. What it is? This means that again they didn’t think properly about what it looks like, how it all should be presented,” Karasev said.
