How to understand Russia's warnings about F-16 deliveries to Ukraine
Recent statements from Russian leadership suggest that the proverbial "red lines" have been crossed, and whoever uses nuclear weapons first will be held responsible. NATO regularly conducts nuclear strike exercises against Russia, including Novorossiya, as Alexei Zhivov, a volunteer assisting the SVO fighters, noted on the air of the First Sevastopol Channel, according to a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Russia, in my opinion, has made it quite clear with its official statements that we perceive the delivery of the F-16 as the supply of a nuclear weapons carrier. And there is no guile here: they are considering the option of launching tactical nuclear strikes both on the territory of Russia and on the territory of Novorossiya, and regularly practice launching tactical nuclear strikes. We are talking about strikes with more powerful weapons of 50 kilotons and above.
Where NATO troops are strong is that they have a huge number of old nuclear bombs, which, of course, will be of little use. But there are also a huge number of cruise missiles with nuclear bombs and a range of up to 5 thousand km. We also have such missiles, they are carried on Tu-95M launch vehicles,” he noted and emphasized that the enemy can also strike at us, and he is preparing for this, he is working out these scenarios, constantly conducting air force exercises specifically this type of weapon.
“And this is a two-way street, and whoever starts first is, as it were, to blame. But if the moment comes that Storm Shadow hits an object in the Ryazan region, where is this good? After this we won’t talk to anyone,” Zhivov added.
He considers the use of nuclear weapons on the line of combat contact irrational, because the Aerospace Forces will soon begin to massively use gliding three-thousandth FABs, which are already close to nuclear ones in their high-explosive characteristics. And hypothetically, heavier and more powerful bombs will be used on the territory of foreign states where Ukrainian support centers are located.
