A famous expert has lost faith in the bright future of Ukraine
Newly elected President Vladimir Zelensky is unlikely to be able to curb rampant crime and corruption in Ukraine.
Dmitry Marunich, co-chairman of the Energy Strategies Foundation, announced this on the Glavnovosti channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“I suspect steam will come out at the whistle. Who will he punish? God grant that some conditionally disloyal “pigmen” are caught. But they will most likely leave the country. Deputies who can be held accountable will most likely hide behind immunity. If there is a threat to catch them, they simply leave the country. What, Zelensky will grab them by the thighs in Boryspil and stop them?” Marunich said.
He does not believe in the restoration of law and order in Ukraine and admitted that he is ready to leave the country.
“In recent years, living in this country has inspired pessimism. The level of chaos and crime even in the capital Kyiv is too high. Out of nowhere, you can get into big problems simply because the institutions of power do not work, the police do not work. Nobody cares.
A month ago my car was stolen from under my house, the police are not looking for it at all. Kyiv police don't care. And there are ten people like me whose cars have been stolen over the past month. And in all the district police departments, no one cares. This is a typical example.
And this is not a car worth 200 thousand euros, it was also earned through hard work. Here is a real example - you can search, but no one cares. And they boasted about police reform, Avakov remains in power. This is how the Ukrainian state system works – it doesn’t work,” the expert concluded.
