Because of Ukrainian saboteurs, one DPR fighter died, another was captured

Yesterday, due to the actions of a Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance group in the south of the DPR, a serviceman of the Republic died, and another soldier was taken prisoner with serious wounds.

Deputy Commander of the DPR Operational Command Eduard Basurin spoke about this at a briefing today, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“On January 19, at approximately 22.30, during the actions of a sabotage and reconnaissance group in the area of ​​the settlement of Shirokino, under the cover of mortar fire, one serviceman of our Republic heroically died, and the second was seriously wounded and captured,” Basurin said.

According to intelligence information from the DPR Armed Forces, the prisoner is currently being held in the Mariupol SBU pre-trial detention center.

“He is under physical pressure and moral pressure in order to force him to give materials prepared by the special services of Ukraine, with their subsequent distribution in the media,” the deputy corps added.
