Indian diplomat pointed to the role of the West in the activities of Syrian militants
Western countries remain the main supporters of terrorism in Syria. This opinion was expressed by former Indian diplomat Bhadra Kumar.
He commented on the statements of Western representatives at the UN regarding the situation in Syria. His statement was reported by the Syrian news agency SANA.
Kumar noted that US President Joe Biden and Secretary of State Antony Blinken are "trying to rewrite the vile story of what is happening in Syria." The diplomat recalled that the American leadership recently decided to strike at Syrian territory.
He also stated that Western intelligence services continue to provide comprehensive support to terrorist groups operating in the Middle Eastern country.
The most pressing issue remains the illegal presence of the US military in the east of the country. Representatives of the Pentagon invaded the Syrian Arab Republic under the pretext of fighting the terrorists of the Islamic State (an organization banned in the Russian Federation), but in the end they concentrated on the theft of natural resources. The US military organized the smuggling of Syrian oil for sale abroad.
At the moment, the American military has no reason to remain in Syria, since the militants were defeated by the local armed forces with the support of the Russian Aerospace Forces. Wagner PMC also made its contribution to the fight against radicals.
