In the Gornostaevsky district of the Kherson region, the SBU searched the National Police offices due to suspicion of divulging state secrets.

A local resident contacted the security services and handed over a flash drive to law enforcement officers. A document marked “top secret” was stored on the medium. Investigators established that the flash drive, on which it is also prohibited to store secret information, belongs to one of the police officers.
SBU officers documented that the police department tried to hide this fact by manipulating official documents. In the framework of criminal proceedings opened under Art. 328 (disclosure of state secrets) and Art. 366 (official forgery) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, searches were carried out in the National Police department.
During the searches, materials were seized that proved the police had committed a criminal offense.
