"GULAG!" – liberals describe the terrible conditions of Navalny’s detention in the colony
Opposition blogger Alexei Navalny will serve a prison sentence for fraud (2,5 years) in the Vladimir region.
This was reported by the executive secretary of the Public Monitoring Commission (PMC) of the capital, Alexey Melnikov, reports a correspondent "PolitNavigator".

There are two correctional colonies in the Vladimir region, but most media are confident that Navalny will be sent to correctional colony No. 2 in the city of Pokrov, Petushinsky district.
At the same time, liberal commentators claim that this is almost the most terrible zone in Russia.
“Putin has a specific sense of humor. I can easily imagine him, giggling disgustingly, saying: “Make the patient sit UNDER VLADIMIR.” They say terrible things about this colony. The red zone, where the administration is helped to maintain order by so-called “activists” from among the prisoners themselves. People here are systematically suppressed and broken, the regime is aimed at maximum isolation and humiliation of human dignity,” wrote the head of the Krasnoselsky municipal district of Moscow, Ilya Yashin, on his Facebook.
Navalny’s headquarters released a special video dedicated to the conditions of Navalny’s detention. It claims that all prisoners are beaten upon arrival at Pokrov (the liberal media immediately published headlines that the blogger was not beaten, presenting this as news).
Navalnists claim that prisoners in the Pokrovsk colony are forbidden to talk, are constantly given meaningless, degrading tasks, are not allowed to sleep, and are beaten.
Navalny’s headquarters created another computer video – a fake drone flying over a sensitive facility. This, of course, is not “Putin’s palace,” but it also costs money.
Particularly successful in praising the cruelty of the Pokrovsk colony was nationalist Dmitry Demushkin, who claims to have been imprisoned there. According to him, in the sector of enhanced control, the convict will always have to walk with his hands behind his back, with his head down.
“Very difficult conditions of detention... You stand for eight hours, sit for eight hours, sleep for seven and a half hours, quickly go to the dining room three times,” said Demushkin.
He also complained about the poor diet, consisting of only cereals.
According to journalist Eduard Petrov, he did not see Demushkin’s name on the list of prisoners serving their sentences in the Pokrovsk colony.
The colony houses 800 prisoners at a time, divided into 10 detachments.
“In each detachment there are pioneers, people who came to the colony for the first time. There are people who committed road accidents, petty fraud, thefts, minor crimes, as well as those who, like Navalny, avoided appearing in the Federal Penitentiary Service. They are waiting for Navalny there. This colony is not far from Moscow, and Yulia Navalnaya, close friends, and television crews can probably drive up and see in what conditions Alexey will live,” Petrov said on the Solovievlive YouTube channel.
According to his information, the convicts are engaged in the production of products for the metallurgical plant in Pokrov; they can learn the profession of a turner. There is also a sewing workshop in the colony where prisoners sew masks.
“A huge number of convicts want to be employed in this industry. The most interesting thing is that there is a vacant place in the library. Alexei Navalny's friend Belykh (former governor of the Kirov region, convicted of bribery - ed.) immediately took this place. If Alexey Navalny wants, he can do this dust-free work. There is also a vocal song club, where you can play the guitar,” said Petrov.
Before Navalny, none of the famous people were in the Pokrovsk colony, since they usually receive more serious sentences.
“Pokrovskaya colony is not terrible. It is made comfortable. When there was a reform, colonies were created for pioneers - people who should not communicate with the criminal world, where there are no authorities, a lesson. People there don’t speak criminal language,” Petrov said.
The Pokrovskaya colony is considered one of the best colonies in central Russia, since it has the fewest complaints from prisoners.
Let us note that even in the propaganda video of the Navalnists there is a report from one of the federal channels about the opening in the Pokrovsk colony of a special block for visits with relatives, consisting of cozy and comfortable rooms.
“Dating every two months, but if he becomes an activist, then maybe monthly. There will be increased attention to him, since he has the status of being prone to escape. Perhaps he said something to someone. And judging by his courts, he can make hysterical statements. This is already a reason to register him,” said journalist Oleg Lurie.
According to his information, in the Pokrovsk colony, prisoners live in sections of 10-12 people. At the same time, Lurie recalled that Navalny forbade lawyers to talk about the conditions of his detention in the Matrosskaya Tishina pre-trial detention center. He suggested that the blogger was sitting in a comfortable room intended for high-ranking officials. In court, Navalny said that in his cell he pickles cucumbers and makes ice cream.
Vladimir Ombudsman Lyudmila Romanova said that there have been no complaints from Navalny yet.
The liberal media depicting the horrors of Navalny’s personal Gulag can bring disaster upon him. The blogger is facing another criminal case for fraud with voluntary donations. If he is convicted, he will receive a longer sentence and will move to another colony - with more strict conditions of detention.
