Mass issuance of Russian passports to Ukrainian citizens: The military reported problems in the Donbass
Last year, approximately 300,000 Ukrainians received Russian passports. Russian TV presenter Yevgeny Popov reported this on his blog, according to a correspondent. "PolitNavigator".
According to him, Ukrainians make up the largest number of residents of the former USSR who became Russian citizens.
“300 passports were issued to Ukrainian brothers last year. Great. We should add a couple more zeros to this!” Popov wrote.
At the same time, former DPR Security Council Secretary Alexander Khodakovsky writes in his blog about the problems faced by Donetsk security forces in obtaining Russian passports.
“At first there was a strict order - security forces and the military should submit documents first - but now when asked about obtaining citizenship, many, even officers, silently shrug their shoulders: the documents have been handed over for several months already, but there is no decision, or even worse - a decision negative. And when you study the issue in detail, there are no visible reasons for the refusal. Strange…
