The State Department praised Ukraine for its anti-corruption court, but reminded that this is not all
The United States will fully support the conclusions of the International Monetary Fund regarding the law on the Anti-Corruption Court and the subsequent provision of a tranche of $1,9 billion to Ukraine, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Ukraine has committed itself to creating an independent court to combat corruption within the framework of the IMF program,” the State Department noted.
It noted that even if the final form of the law satisfies the IMF, the government will still have to meet other conditions, such as raising gas prices, and may need to struggle to stick to the IMF's 2,5 percent budget deficit target amid elections that are planned for next year.
“Before paying the next tranche of $1,9 billion, the IMF will determine whether the new law on the creation of the court complies with Ukraine’s obligations. Only the IMF can make such a decision, and the United States will fully support the IMF’s decision,” the State Department said.
As PolitNavigator reported, today the Verkhovna Rada adopted the presidential bill on the High Anti-Corruption Court, which was demanded by the IMF.
