Goncharenko got into trouble, trying to humiliate Moscow
Billboards hung by Verkhovna Rada deputy Oleksiy Goncharenko , comparing the ages of Moscow and Kyiv, are not only a stupid provocation but also distort historical reality.
Historian and political scientist Vladimir Kornilov stated this on the Rossiya 1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Goncharenko hung billboards all over Kyiv, congratulating Kyiv on its one thousand five hundred anniversary, that supposedly there was already a university in Kyiv, and frogs were croaking in Moscow. He will live in Odessa - so now compare the ages of Moscow and Odessa in the same way? Can you imagine us putting up posters like this on Moscow’s anniversary? The comparison is completely stupid.
And I want to note why they are celebrating the 1500th anniversary of Kyiv. After all, several decades passed between the celebration of the 1000th anniversary and the 1500th anniversary. In fact, one age was calculated for Kyiv, then archaeologists found remains that were dated about one thousand five hundred years ago. And so they decided to increase the age of Kyiv.
If you delve into Moscow, the Kuntsevo settlement and several other settlements date back to the sixth century BC. And if we take Scythian women in the Donbass, then Donetsk and Lugansk are generally the most ancient cities,” Kornilov said.
However, TV presenter Vladimir Solovyov corrected the speaker, saying that Alexey Goncharenko cannot be from Odessa - such people have no homeland.
“I have to correct you - Goncharenko will not come from Odessa. This has no place of birth. This is an animal that blackmailed its own father. And he still can’t get over this complex,” Soloviev added.
