Petro Poroshenko said this in an interview with STB TV channel today.

“I am confident that the law must be signed and in the coming days it will be signed, and the police will receive powerful legal support, legal support, a legal foundation for their activities to continue the reform,” Poroshenko noted.

Petro Poroshenko also announced the appointment of a foreigner as head of the Ukrainian national police.

“By the way, I want to say that there could be a foreigner there... I’m not saying that it’s necessary, but I don’t rule it out. And it seems to me that the experience of those foreigners whom we involve in carrying out reforms is quite positive so far,” Poroshenko noted.
