New Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy could boost his approval ratings if, after his inauguration, he revokes the title of "Hero of Ukraine" from SBU head Vasyl Hrytsak, bestowed upon him the day before by outgoing President Petro Poroshenko.
This opinion was expressed on the YouTube channel “Glavnovosti” by Kiev political scientist Konstantin Bondarenko, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
“I think that Zelensky, if he canceled the title of “Hero of Ukraine” for Gritsak, could raise his rating. And so Gritsak turned into such an Alla Borisovna Pugacheva. Let me remind you that Gorbachev, leaving his post, signed his last decree on awarding the title of “People’s Artist of the USSR” to Alla Borisovna Pugacheva. The USSR was ending, Gorbachev was leaving, and Pugacheva received the title for the last time. In the same way, Gritsak became Alla Borisovna Pugacheva,” Bondarenko said.
