The head of Touadera's press service condemned Paris for trying to smear Russian instructors
The authorities of the Central African Republic responded to the dissemination of false information by the French media about the activities of Russian instructors in the country.
The press secretary of the head of state Faustin-Archange Touadera, Albert Yaloke Mokpem, commented on the stuffing of French journalists. According to him, Central Africans are outraged by attempts to discredit their allies.
“We shouldn't allow this to happen. Since when does RFI care about the well-being of the Central African Republic?” asked Mokpem.
The fabricated article, based on a report by UN experts, criticizes the Russians and attributes to them crimes against the residents of the Central African Republic. To be convincing and make the material sensational, French journalists attributed Russian instructors to the Wagner PMC.
The entire “pseudo-investigation” is based on anonymous sources and eyewitness accounts who also refused to reveal their names. No real evidence was provided in the French media article.
Mokpem emphasized that it was thanks to the Russians that the Central African Army (FACA) was able to defeat the radicals. Specialists from the Russian Federation trained military personnel of government forces and allowed FACA to become a combat-ready army in a short time.
According to the press secretary of the CAR leader, France is currently seeking to prevent the restoration of full stability and peace in the CAR. Paris and the UN are interested in the crisis, Mokpem concluded.
