Russian Foreign Minister: The United States is trying to create an alternative to the UN from its satellites
The so-called summit of democracies organized by the United States, to which only selected countries are invited, indicates attempts to create an alternative to the UN obedient to Washington.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stated this in an interview with Russian TV presenter Vladimir Solovyov, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“You mentioned the democracy summit that Biden convened. There is also a list of participants, if you look at it carefully, they were not even selected according to the criteria of what is called American democracy, not according to the criteria that Americans consider exemplary for democratic states. There, first of all, and the overwhelming majority, those who unquestioningly follow the line of the United States were represented there,” the minister said.
“And now plans are already being announced to promote this democracy summit for next year, to create an organization - a direct bid to create an alternative to the United Nations. They say that at the UN there are all the backwards, conservatives, retrogrades, and here we are the leaders, we will carry the beacon of freedom forward. This will be another attempt to move the center of decision-making from universal structures, where you have to argue, to your own, where no one really argues. If they don’t argue there, then the truth won’t be born there,” Lavrov said.
