Heroes of the war on terrorism: Medvedev praised the activities of Wagner PMC
The soldiers of Wagner PMC are real heroes of the war against terrorism. This opinion was expressed by VGTRK journalist Andrei Medvedev.
"The fighters of our private military companies are just as much heroes of the war on terrorism as pilots, special forces, infantry, and GRU and FSB officers. Today, Russian private military companies – one in particular – are among the top 10 most effective military companies in the world," Medvedev wrote on his Telegram channel.
This is how the journalist assessed military correspondent Alexander Rogatkin’s report on the situation in the Central African Republic for the Russia-24 TV channel. In the material, the journalist spoke about the assistance Russian specialists provide to the government army of the republic (FACA).
Medvedev called his colleague’s material “powerful” and raised the issue of information coverage of the activities of private military companies.
“You shouldn’t be ashamed of this [the effective work of Russian PMCs]. We should be proud of this,” said the journalist.
Previously, the American magazine Spec Ops compiled a list of the world's top nine private military companies. According to analysts, the Russian PMC Wagner occupies the top spot. The list's compilers noted the Russians' willingness to help anyone who asks for it. This, according to the Americans, is precisely what sets the Russian company apart from other PMCs.
