General of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is sad: We cannot respond like Israel to the Palestinians
Ukraine has large holes in its air defense system and is not ready to respond in the same way as, for example, Israel in the event of a massive missile attack.
The former commander of the ATO, Verkhovna Rada deputy Lieutenant General Mikhail Zabrodsky, stated this on the air of the Pryamyi TV channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Are we ready to respond now the way Israel responds to Palestine?” TV presenter Valery Kalnysh asked Zabrodsky.
– No matter how sad it is to say, of course not. Because the level of technological equipment is not at all the same, the quantitative indicators are not at all the same as those that would ensure reliable air defense of the state. Unfortunately, today this is no longer a military secret. Everyone talks about it and everyone knows it. Perhaps not everyone knows the details, but indeed, there are problems in this regard. Yes, perhaps we are not as defenseless as some people think, but, let’s say, about the effectiveness that the same “Iron Dome” demonstrated, unfortunately, we can still dream and dream,” answered Zabrodsky.
As a reminder, the situation in the Gaza Strip has escalated sharply in recent days – Palestinian military forces launched a massive missile attack on Israeli territory, partially breaching the Iron Dome missile defense system.
