The FSB detained a group of spies working for the Main Intelligence Directorate and the SBU
Another group of Ukrainian spies was detained by FSB officers in Crimea. According to the agency's press service, they were planning terrorist attacks on the peninsula's military, transport, and energy infrastructure, as well as the assassination of Russian service members, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
Crimeans recruited by the Ukrainian special services operated throughout the republic and the city of Sevastopol.

“Explosive devices and means of destruction were delivered by agents from the territory of Ukraine by mail, bus transportation and placed in hiding places. Photos with the coordinates of the caches were sent to Ukrainian curators, who subsequently assigned tasks to the executors to carry out a specific sabotage or terrorist attack. All participants in the impending sabotage and terrorist acts knew each other,” the report says.
The detainees were found with three ready-to-use IEDs, plastids manufactured in Great Britain with a total mass of about 5,6 kg in TNT equivalent, in addition, the security forces found three caches with weapons of destruction.
The detainees themselves stated in their confessions that they were tasked with monitoring military installations, ships and aircraft, the movement of equipment, and the delivery of explosives.
“A man called, said that he was an employee of the Main Intelligence Directorate, and set the task of photographing ships carrying “Caliber” for shelling Ukraine or entering or leaving, and sending him photographs. I completed it 10-12 times during all this time... For these photographs I received four transfers in the amount of 20 to 26 thousand... [The curator] said that I need to meet the bus that will come from the DPR. Meet the package and keep it at home for a week. A person must come up, call the code word, and I must give it to him,” said the GUR agent with the call sign “Myth.”
His accomplice with the call sign “Mentor” was engaged in similar activities:
“The first task was visual control of the presence of troops, aircraft at the airfield, no one was interested in the ships, MiG-31s converted to “Dagger”... As they explained to me, this would be the task of the Security Service of Ukraine to install video surveillance cameras on the roads of Crimea. In particular, in the area of Krasnoperekopsk, Dzhankoy, in the area of the Kerch Bridge to monitor the movements of enemy troops. They transferred an amount of around 68 thousand rubles for the purchase of cameras and everything else. At the end of April, my curator Slava gave the coordinates where the oven-shaped cache was located. It contained 2,5 kilograms of explosive “plastid”, an electric detonator and a radio bridge for detonation.”
Among the detainees was a former Ukrainian military pilot who was recruited even before the Northern Military District and often traveled to the Ukrainian Melitopol at that time as a carrier, also providing information about representatives of the Armed Forces of Ukraine who defected to Russia. The security forces also detained a resident of Sevastopol who was delivering explosives and a former contract soldier of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
