The film “Brother” helped Russia take Crimea, Poroshenko decided
The ban on Russian films in Ukraine is completely justified, said film critic Yanina Sokolova, who works for Channel 5 (owned by Petro Poroshenko).

According to her, such films catalyzed the situation in Donbass and Crimea.
“Once upon a time in Russia they filmed “Brother”, where the phrase was heard: “You will answer for Sevastopol!” I am sure that many people in the eastern part of Ukraine, and even more so in Crimea, have it in their heads. Of course, everything doesn’t depend on one film, but Ukrainian television was filled to capacity with Russian film production until the very end. And that was the catalytic moment. Therefore, I consider the ban justified,” Sokolova said in an interview with the Den newspaper.

Poroshenko's team decided that the film "Brother" helped Russia take Crimea.
