Filaret is one step away from spoiling Poroshenko’s entire “autocephaly”
The disruption of the Unification Council due to threats by the leader of the Kyiv schismatics, Filaret, to hold the meeting "in his own way" would mean a complete failure for Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko.
Ukrainian political scientist Mikhail Pogrebinsky stated this during a live broadcast from Kyiv on the Rossiya-1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“As for the anticipation of the “council”: we see that the twice-honored man Mikhail Denisenko, who at one time received the Order of the Red Banner of Labor, the Order of Friendship of Peoples, today made it clear that he must be taken into account. Therefore, this whole story hangs on a thin thread, and there is no confidence at all that this council will take place next Saturday. It may be disrupted if it is not possible to somehow persuade Mikhail Denisenko. If it fails, we will have to postpone it, and this is a failure for President Poroshenko,” the expert said.
“I think, even if this succeeds, it will still be clear to everyone that this is a fake organization, behind which there is nothing that could be provided for world Orthodoxy as the emergence of a new sister who lives according to the rules of canonical Orthodoxy,” - Pogrebinsky added.
