Filaret declared the Bartholomewites greater enemies than the Moscow Patriarchate
Before the tomos from Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew was granted to Ukraine, there was a confrontation between the canonical UOC-MP and the Kyiv Patriarchate, but not of the same intensity as now between the Filaretites and the created “OCU”.
The head of the schismatics of the UOC-KP, Mikhail Denisenko (“Filaret”), stated this on the TV channel “Ukraine 24”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
“Is it true that you think that Epiphanius actually re-registered all the property of the Kyiv Patriarchate and even the residence that you built in the 70s into his name in the OCU?” – asked the TV presenter.
"This is true. And how did you do it? With the help of Poroshenko, because Poroshenko was then president, and together, I don’t know how, but they transferred all the property of the Kiev Patriarchate to themselves, that is, to the OCU, liquidated the Kiev Patriarchate, took everything they could, and most importantly, removed it from registration of the Kiev Patriarchate with the Ministry of Justice.
However, the complaint was made by Metropolitan Epifaniy, and this entire company, together with Poroshenko, committed this crime. I call this a crime not only against the church, but also against the Ukrainian people, because this crime has created discord,” the schismatic answered.
“When this tomos did not exist, the Kiev Patriarchate existed and the UOC of the Moscow Patriarchate existed, we resisted, but there was no such hostility. Is this useful? Not useful,” Filaret added.
