The European Parliament supports the existence of only a state army in Ukraine.

This was stated by the Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the European Parliament, Elmar Brock.
“We emphasize the importance of the state being the only one leading the troops, and also disarming the paramilitary volunteer forces, or completely merging them with the official structures of the Armed Forces,” said Elmar Brock.
Let us recall that on July 3, Petro Poroshenko, introducing the new head of the SBU, announced the need for more active counteraction to the oligarchs financing “private armies.”
“To ensure state security, the Service must find an adequate response to the actions of the oligarchs who are trying to finance “private armies” and destabilize the situation within the country,” Poroshenko emphasized.
