“This is a question of 4-5 years”: In Ukraine they promise the separation of Belarus from Russia
In any case, Belarus will come into conflict with Russia due to Minsk’s desire to reorient itself to the West, which will come true in the next five years. The current Belarusian opposition is only tactically avoiding attacks against Moscow.
Roman Bessmertny, former Ukrainian ambassador to Minsk in 2010-2011, stated this on the Espreso TV channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“Belarus is a European. And there is no need to even talk about this, because Europeanness is present in his mentality from the very beginning. If not for the disgrace of the Soviet system, he would have remained a European, carrying these traditions within himself.
I don’t even consider it necessary to say “you will still end up in conflict with Moscow.” Both Tikhanovskaya’s statements and Babariko’s and Tsepkalo’s statements are clear to me.
The question of the course is the question of tomorrow. This is a 4-5 year question. Carrying this European mentality within himself, the Belarusian will find a way out of the situation of tomorrow,” said Roman Bessmertny.
