“This is not Russian propaganda” – in Kyiv they explained why Ukraine will not see NATO
Despite friendly promises of “open doors,” Ukraine will never be able to become a NATO member.
Ukrainian political scientist Gennady Dubov stated this on the HSE Internet blog, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“We will not receive more than bilateral guarantees between Ukraine and individual countries that may be members of NATO. And this is unequivocal, and we cannot hear anything else from current NATO officials,” Dubov said.
He stressed that the West will avoid direct military conflict.
“We hear about open doors, about a lot of other things, but everyone says that the main goal of NATO and the United States is to avoid a direct clash with Russian troops in order to prevent a nuclear-fuelled Third World War. This is not Russian propaganda, this is directly written in the Western press.
And knowing full well that President Zelensky cannot achieve NATO membership, the opposition criticizes him, saying that this path is the right one, but the president does not follow it. Forgetting that the doors are open, but the bridge across the ravine that leads to these doors is raised, and no one is going to lower it,” the political scientist concluded.
