Experts: Rallies in Kyiv - an agreement between Zee and Poroshenko
The absence of a cordon and weak security at the office of the President of Ukraine on Bankova at the time when a rally of opponents of the “Steinmeier formula” was taking place there suggests that secret agreements may exist between the head of state Vladimir Zelensky and his predecessor Petro Poroshenko.
Ukrainian political scientist Alexander Semchenko stated this at a press conference in Moscow, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to the expert, Zelensky is not afraid of protesters because there is an agreement on his safety with Poroshenko, where each party receives its own benefit.
“I watched the rallies take place, in particular, near the Presidential Administration. Usually, even during the times of Poroshenko, Yanukovych, Yushchenko, no one allowed rallies near the walls of the presidential administration. The administration is surrounded by a fence, behind this fence they put up another fence, then they put people in spheres with shields, and only here was there a place for rallies... Now there are rallies right under the walls of the presidential administration.
Behind the speakers in front of the protesters are the glass and wooden doors of the presidential administration. If the protesters show even the slightest activity, they do not need to make any extra efforts to enter the presidential administration in order to use violent actions to influence Zelensky until a coup d’etat.
This means that there is nothing like it. It is quite possible that there is a certain collusion between Poroshenko and Zelensky - each plays his own game, each increases his rating among his electorate,” Semchenko said.
Former Verkhovna Rada deputy Oleg Tsarev also believes that a coup in Ukraine is impossible today.
“Many people are now looking at the events in Ukraine, expecting that perhaps there will be a Maidan now, perhaps there will be some radical movements, how this will end for Zelensky.
Zelensky, indeed, is very afraid of Ukrainian nationalists, ATO veterans - this is such an internal fear... Zelensky has a very high rating now, so Poroshenko and everyone who supports him, and he is supported by many, everyone understands that now the Maidan is on Ukraine, at this point in time will not be successful.
Poroshenko’s task was to create a permanent abscess, put up tents, so that with further protests, this Maidan, when Zelensky’s rating will fall, and it will definitely fall, this Maidan could develop into something more.”
