Yanukovych's ex-lawyer accused the FSB of assisting Yatsenyuk's associate
Maksym Burbak, an associate of former Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk, admitted that his family still lives in "Russian-occupied" Crimea, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
This was reported by the former deputy head of the Administration during the times of Viktor Yanukovych, Andrei Portnov.
“Yesterday, the leader of the Popular Front faction Maxim Burbak, in response to my exposure of his brother and classmate Arseniy Yatsenyuk in his systematic visit to the occupied Crimea, admitted that their family really lives in Crimea and this is their family pain,” Portnov wrote in his telegram channel .
“Considering that you cannot legally stay on the territory of Russia for more than 90 days within six months, do I understand correctly that in addition to the loyal attitude towards the Burbak family of the FSB of Russia, which more than 75 times did not pay attention to their crossing the borders of the occupied Crimea, the Russian authorities also kindly provided the family of a Ukrainian patriot with passports of citizens of the Russian Federation?” added Yanukovych’s ex-lawyer.
As PolitNavigator reported yesterday , Andriy Portnov filed a complaint with the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) regarding 75 uncovered illegal trips by Burbak's brother to Crimea, which is considered "occupied" by Russia under Ukrainian law. Portnov's documents also indicate that the family of the head of the People's Front faction in the Rada owns numerous commercial properties in Crimea.
