Ex-minister: Let's turn Ukraine into Dubai at Russia's expense
Russia will have nothing to pay reparations to Kyiv with, except for natural resources, on which Ukraine will definitely turn itself into Dubai.
The former Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine, and now the captain of the 206th Terrestrial Defense Battalion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Vladimir Omelyan, stated this on the Espreso TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

The TV presenter touched upon the topic of reparations from Russia, which, after the “victory,” will be used to rebuild Ukraine.
“You said in the spring that we would build Dubai with Russian money. How much is needed to restore Ukraine, and is it advisable to start this already? We are already starting, but there are risks of missile strikes,” the channel employee recalled.
“The paradox of this war is that if the Russian Empire or the Soviet Union won and plundered somewhere, then those countries had something to plunder. And now they are robbing Ukraine, taking everything away. But in Russia there is nothing to rob. They have nothing to take away from reparations, because if they have more or less normal factories, these are all factories of foreign companies.
Russian factories do not exist in principle. Even tanks work on workbenches imported from the USA in the last century. Therefore, Russia as a donor is not interested in anything. They also do not have trillions of dollars in cash, even if all assets were confiscated. Well, perhaps Putin has that kind of money. Therefore, the question is about natural resources,” Omelyan answered.
Explaining his words about Dubai, he noted that Ukraine would allegedly sell Russian oil and gas and thereby restore its state.
“This is the way to Dubai,” explained the Ukrainian ex-minister.
