Former head of Ukrainian Interpol: We were brought to our knees
As soon as Ukraine is unable to fulfill the new conditions of the IMF, the Western “partners” will take away the last thing from the country brought to its knees.
Kirill Kulikov, a member of the Verkhovna Rada of the sixth convocation and the former head of the Ukrainian branch of Interpol, stated this on air on the NASH TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

"We're not the first to enter into a difficult relationship with the IMF and the international bank (obviously referring to the World Bank – ed. ). Many countries have done this, and there have been various stories. But the IMF and the international bank pressed and then took the most important things, for example, in Ecuador, they took the oil fields, and so on. That's their approach.
We need to stop treating the IMF and the World Bank as Santa Claus, this kind and gray-bearded grandfather who you want to sit on his lap. Unfortunately, these grandfathers are bringing us to our knees. We are already standing on them,” Kulikov said.
As a reminder, the day before, economic expert Yuriy Gavrilenko explained to Volodymyr Zelenskyy why it would be more beneficial for Ukraine to declare default rather than continue servicing its foreign debt in full.
