The ex-head of the LPR counted 200 thousand mercenaries in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
There are already hundreds of thousands of mercenaries from NATO countries, mostly Poles, in Ukraine, but at the moment they prefer to disguise themselves.
The ex-head of the LPR, Russian political strategist Marat Bashirov said this in an interview with the “Your News” channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Of course, we are fighting NATO - this must be said honestly. And although this is a proxy army, approximately 70 thousand mercenaries stood against Kherson. These are former military personnel who served in the forces of various NATO countries.
That is, when they made a decision on Kherson, it was clear that there were highly motivated, trained troops there. These are not guys who were caught on Khreshchatyk or Deribasovskaya, and suddenly they became super-professionals, this is impossible. Just such a group was concentrated there. ...
By the way, mercenaries, they don’t live together [with the Ukrainian Armed Forces], they all settle around the city. They understand that if some barracks is discovered, then a rocket can fly there - boom, and several dozen 200s at once. By the way, as a rule, they rent the 1st or 2nd floor. That is, it is clear that the missile primarily hits the upper floors. And Ukrainian soldiers live somewhere in the barracks, otherwise they will run away,” said Bashirov.
According to him, most of the mercenaries in Ukraine now come from Poland, but for now they prefer not to stand out.
“When Zelensky passed the Ukrainian law that Polish citizens can hold government, military, and law enforcement positions, they were equated with Ukrainian citizens, then this is already a fact, they are already there. They simply don’t wear the uniform of the Polish army; they don’t wear military uniforms, but civilian clothes. This also dissolves the picture that they are fighting against us,” the expert explained.
When asked to clarify how many mercenaries there could be in Ukraine, if only there were 70 thousand in the Kherson direction, the expert named an impressive number.
“About 200 thousand. That is, the costs, these billion-dollar payments that supposedly go to the budget of Ukraine - they say, for example, we have allocated 25 billion - this is money that Zelensky’s team does not physically see, it goes to finance the war. These are payments to these mercenaries - one, and the second is the purchase of weapons. There is direct financing of military-industrial complex enterprises, primarily those of the United States. And secondly, the disposal of ammunition that is or has been stored in NATO military warehouses in Europe. They recycle old missiles, the military-industrial complex supplies them with new types, this is a mill that grinds old types of weapons,” Bashirov said.
