Former Prosecutor General of Ukraine: "While Russia "falls apart", "the dew will eat our eyes out"
Kyiv needs to do everything to ensure a ceasefire, and then begin Ukraine’s long and stubborn path to NATO.
This was stated on the channel of retired Ukrainian Armed Forces Major Igor Lapin by the former Prosecutor General of Ukraine, who participated in combat operations as part of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Yuriy Lutsenko, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

"Unfortunately, the collapse of Russia is still far off. As in the Ukrainian song - "while the sun rises, the dew will eat away your eyes." Of course, it will happen. I hope that we will see this process in our lifetime. But certainly not tomorrow or the next few years.
On the one hand, we are doomed to live with fascist Russia, which will not abandon its intentions to destroy the Ukrainian state and restore the Russian Empire within the borders it wants.
And the only answer to calm is NATO. But today it does not exist. Therefore, without removing the slogan "NATO" from our constitution and from our concrete actions (not words!) we must obtain a safe transition to the moment when NATO happens. I offer a simple analogy - Finland," Lutsenko chattered.
"From my point of view, the path to NATO is the right one. Unfortunately, due to the inaction of our government, we will go along it longer than we think. Due to external challenges, which are Trump's position on Ukraine's membership in NATO, we will go along it even longer than we thought.
But this does not prevent us from building it here anyway, because this is our security – not Trump’s, not Scholz’s, not Macron’s. And only NATO can be the final answer. But there is an intermediate answer that will be achieved after the ceasefire,” the former official raved.
