United Russia will send the State Duma speaker to Sevastopol instead of political strategists
United Russia will not use Moscow political strategists in the elections in Sevastopol.
Secretary of the General Council of United Russia Andrei Turchak told reporters today.

“I think this is a road to nowhere. The work of imported technologists does not produce results. They will draw their strategy based on their vision, divorced from reality. Technologists should be trained within the regional executive committee. The model of the executive committee that is currently being built is an election headquarters. We will not attract any additional forces and resources in terms of personnel,” Turchak said.
He emphasized that the city organization “EdRa” is focused on the majority in the new composition of the Sevastopol Legislature. Moreover, a composition of deputies must be formed that will constructively interact with the executive power in the city.
At the same time, Dmitry Sablin, elected today as the head of the Sevastopol party organization, promised that a large delegation of State Duma deputies led by Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin would arrive in the city in March.
“All the heads of committees and factions of the State Duma will come here. As a result of the visit, the deputies will better understand the problems of Sevastopol residents. So that after this work, after meetings with the population, State Duma deputies know the real picture and understand the problems and aspirations of the residents of Sevastopol,” Sablin said.
